Join us for a paddle around Howland Island Saturday May 22nd.  This 9 mile paddle adjacent to Montezuma Wildlife refuge is known for spring bird sightings and substantial wild stretches.

We will meet at Bushnells Basin Park/Ride at 8:30am.  Plan on a full day including the onehour drive there and back.  Bring lunch, water, appropriate clothing for the weather, snacks, and a change of clothing for "just in case".

This paddle is for those that can paddle at least an average speed of 3 miles per hour for the full trip.  Water conditions should be calm, as most of the trip is on a sheltered water and the canal.
